Title: Supervisor
Reports To: Manager
Status of Work: Full- time
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring cleaning staff fulfill the day to day job expectations, completing assigned tasks
- Ensuring client expectations are fulfilled as per contract
- Responding to client inquiries, complaints
- Responding to employee inquiries, complaints
- Assisting manager with scheduling of staff
- Ensuring the safety of the staff
- Training staff with respect to equipment, chemicals, job routine
- Ensuring all equipment is in good working order and supplies are on hand
- May be required to fill in, in a “hands on” cleaning capacity when required
Physical Demands of the Job: must be able to bend, reach above shoulder level, twist, climb, kneel, stand, squat, walk, lift up to 15 KG floor to waist, operate small equipment, push, pull.
Required Elements:
- Must have a minimum grade ? education.
- Must have previous cleaning experience including project work such as stripping and waxing floors.
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English (both written and spoken).
- Must be customer service focused.
- Must be able to prioritize, problem solve, delegate duties
- Must be able to motivate, give praise and recognition, coach cleaning staff
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must have a good previous attendance record at past place of employment
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
Additional Assets:
- Previous supervisory experience
- Previous experience training staff
- Previous operations of small equipment
- Courses or diplomas pertaining to cleaning
- WHMIS knowledge
- Computer skills
Hours of Operation: must be available to work all hours of operations which includes days, evenings, midnights both mid week and weekend.
